Melaine Kuenemann

I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the North Carolina State University in the laboratory of Dr. Denis Fourches. I earned my Bachelor of Science (specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) at the University of Strasbourg in 2010 and my Master of Science, in In Silico Drug Design, at Paris Diderot University and University of Strasbourg in 2012. I received my Phd in Cheminformatics from the Paris Diderot University in 2015. Under the mentorship of Drs. Villoutreix and Sperandio, I studied the chemical space of protein-protein interaction modulators and their applications of different disorders (HIV and cholesterol). As a member of the Fourches Lab, I used a combination of molecular modeling, molecular dynamics and cheminformatics techniques to study the chemical space for a diverse set of projects. These projects include the characterization of the Max Weaver Dye Library, the construction of QSAR models to analyze the efficiency of amine solutions for carbon dioxide capture, and the development of new therapeutic drugs.
