This web-server was developed by Alex Borrel and Denis Fourches to aid chemists in visualizing proteins and molecules using virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), or 3D-printing. RealityConvert users can upload either a PDB (proteins) or SDF (molecules) files that are then translated into VR, AR, or 3D-printing compatible files. The newly created AR chemical can then be incorporated into poster presentations to help visualize molecules. Alex demonstrated this new presentation technique at the 2017 Fall ACS Meeting!
Denis has been having his organic chemistry students use 3D-printing to visualize organic compounds. RealityConvert provides his students with an easy to use website for generating 3D-printing compatible files of molecules like fullerene and even DNA!
